Skin Care!! winters!!

No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow.

Winters are almost heavy this time!!
We gals have to take care of sooooo many things..
skin, hair, health... pheeewwwwww!!

Can we make it easy and natural, than freaking out on winter products? and spend soo much of money?

first thing first...

If we do not take care of our skin in winter, our spring wouldn't be awesome!!

Some tips i followed for my extra dry skin.. and it worked

We have to care our skin mornings and nights also!!

Why Night? Because winters throws those clod wings on night also.. so care is very much important
Mine is extra dry skin!! And you know how extra dry skin works in winter…. Huff

But trust me it is very east to take care.

What you need:-

Almond Oil (any one which you get from your local shop)
Olive oil
Boro Plus
Sunscreen Lotion
Krack Cream
Parachute hair oil
Ghee
Green Leaves.

Now how we use these ingredients…..

Daily morning when we wakeup and brush later have 1 cup green tea or what ever preferred… winters normally block our nose… so daily try to take steam which will resolve sooo many problems.

But just 10 mins before steam apply almond oil and massage ur face and neck gently fr 5 mins… let some oil be left on skin… so that when you stem it will not remove oiliness from your skin…

After steam apply few more drops almond oil and massage gently and leave it.. as we normally prefer to take bath with VERY HOT water in winters… this is most req…

Take 2 drops of olive oil and massage your lips….

Before you go to take bath… if you are taking head bath.. make sure you apply heated parachute oil heated with few green leaves ( which lets the hair to be black) before 30 mins…

Now when you take bath make sure u use less hot water on your face…

After bath.. make sure you apply moisturizer soon… as in winters evengs and mrngs are too cold.. afternoons are also too hot

So sunscreen is very much required after you apply moisturizer, try applying sun screen on it… it will giv a natural look..

And hair dry it naturally than using blowyer, which spoils the textures.
Even make sure you apply body lotion to body..

Night once you come back from office…use some wet tissues to clean you face from dust which you got from outside… and apply almond oil and go for sleep.

Those who apply kajal, remove it properly and use wet tissue. And then massage almond below eyes so that there will b no dark circles.

Winters you have to take care of legs… apply krack cream and apply mustard oil to the lower feet massage and wear socks and go to sleep J

It all looks too much, but trust me this is all very much needed to take care of you skin and hair in winters…

Hope some tips help you in these J

Have a lovely winters….

Cracked Heels

Because of the footwear we use, it is very easy to get cracked heels during the summer months. Some people also develop a dirty, black layer of skin on their feet.
I have an easy suggestion to treat these conditions, but first a word of caution: If you have diabetes, you need to be extra careful when it comes to the health of your feet. Consult your doctor for any treatment you want to try. If you do not pay attention to your foot health you run the risk of life and limb.
Treating cracked heels and blackened feet
An easy six-step solution:
  1. Put shaving cream on your feet.
  2. In a bucket or sink, combine equal parts warm water and Listerine.
  3. Soak a small hand towel in the solution of water and Listerine.
  4. While the shaving cream is still on your feet wrap the wet hand towel around your feet and let it sit for 30 minutes.
  5. After 30 minutes, use the towel to rub your feet. Some of the calloused and discolored skin will rub off.
  6. Apply a healthy amount of lotion to your feet.
After your foot bath, is it a good idea to spend at least 5 minutes drying your feet. You want to make sure you do not put your socks and shoes on with your feet
still wet or damp (this can cause bacteria growth and infection). Use a towel to pat your feet dry and be sure to get in between the toes.
Also, give your feet a break from sandals (don't wear them every day) and apply lotion to your heels nightly to reduce cracking.
You can only use this method once a week or your feet will become very sore. Remember, this technique literally takes off a layer of skin.
Treating sore or smelly feet
Soak your feet in 1 gallon of warm water and 1 cap-full of bleach. This takes the soreness out of your feet and kills bacteria that cause the smelly feet.
You can only use this method three times a week.

In general, please pay attention to your feet. It is very easy to get a foot infection due to the fact that they get little air, they sweat, and they are in limited space in a shoe to move.

20 things women should live by

Motivation !!!

Hey all,

Wednesday is here... we are in between the week...

I was going through a conversation with my friend were she was saying "i used to workout earlier, but now i lost motivation"

I have heard this word from many, i wanted to actually take some points out here.

1.) Motivation, a big word to talk but it is all about you, actually accepting it.
2.) Why cant you be motivated, because you don't like that work completely. it can be workout, diet or anything else
3.) Food tempts and body always needs rest, rather sweating out.

What actually motivation should look like.

 Motivation means....

1.) Making things happen.

2.) Never give up.....

3.) Stop assumptions

4.) Get into reality

5.) Compare, nothing wrong in that

6.) Stick to things, let your mind not wander

And finally..

Get Motivated!! Stay Motivated!!

Detox Bath @ home!!

Stressed?? feeling tired have you ever tried to take a detox bath??Time to try it... worth it as it keeps you sooo relaxed

Detoxification of your body through bathing is an ancient remedy that anyone can perform in the comfort of their own home. In detoxification circles, your skin is known as the third kidney, and toxins are excreted through sweating. A detox bath is thought to assist your body in eliminating toxins as well as absorbing the minerals and nutrients that are in the water. Most of all, it'll leave you feeling refreshed and awakened.

   Things You'll Need
  • ·     Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate)
  • ·    Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate/bicarbonate of soda)
  • ·    Large glass of cold water
  • ·    Towel
  • ·     Skin brush (optional)
  • ·     Ginger, aromatherapy oils, herbs (optional)

    Steps J
Prepare your bath on a day that you have at least 40 minutes available. The first 20 minutes are said to help your body remove the toxins, while the second 20 minutes are for absorbing the minerals in the water.

Fill your tub with comfortably hot water. Use a chlorine filter if possible.

Add Epsom salts (aka magnesium sulfate). Soaking in Epsom salts actually helps replenish the body’s magnesium levels, combating hypertension.[1] The sulfate flushes toxins and helps form proteins in brain tissue and joints.[2] Epsom salt is very inexpensive. It can be purchased in decently sized bags or cartons at discount stores in the garden center or pharmaceutical area. Very large bags can be ordered from garden centers.

  • o    For children under 60 lbs, add 1/2 cup to a standard bath.
  • o    For children 60 lbs to 100 lbs, add 1 cup to a standard bath.
  • o    For people 100 lbs and up, add 2 cups or more to a standard bath.

Add 1 to 2 cups or more of baking soda (a.k.a. sodium bicarbonate). Baking soda is known for its cleansing ability and even has anti-fungal properties.[3] It also leaves skin very soft. Large bags can usually be found in the swimming pool chemical area, but the boxes from the bakery aisle will work fine.

Add ground ginger or fresh ginger tea. While this step is optional, ginger can increase your heat levels, helping to sweat out toxins. However, since it is heating to the body, it may cause your skin to turn slightly red for a few minutes, so be careful with the amount you add. Depending on the capacity of your tub, and your sensitivity, anywhere from 1 tablespoon to 1/3 cup can be added.

o    Most people sweat profusely with the addition of the ginger, and if you wrap your body in a blanket immediately after getting out of the tub, you can continue to detoxify through perspiration for another couple of hours. This is especially beneficial if you are trying to rid the body of a bug of some sort, like the flu, or a cold.

Add aromatherapy oils. Again optional, but many people love the fragrance of such oils and for many, the oils have particular therapeutic properties to take advantage of. There are many oils that will make the bath an even more pleasant and relaxing experience (such as lavender and ylang ylang), as well as those that will assist in the detoxification process (tea tree oil or eucalyptus). Around 20 drops is sufficient for a standard bath.
o    If you prefer, you can use fresh herbs. Add mint leaves (warming), lavender flowers (soothing), chamomile (soothing), or anything else that suits your mood.

Swish all of the ingredients around in the tub, then soak. Again, 40 minutes is recommended (the longer the better), but aim for at least 20. You should start sweating within the first few minutes.

o    If you feel too hot, start adding cold water into the tub until you cool off.

Get out of the tub slowly and carefully. Your body has been working hard and you may get lightheaded or feel weak and drained. On top of that, the salts make your tub slippery, so stand with care.

Drink plenty of water. Any time your body detoxes (after this type of bath, a massage, or chiropractic work, for example), you need to flush out toxins. If you don't, you will likely feel sick afterwards.
1.   10
After the bath, you might like to rub down your body with a loofah or vegetable bristle brush. This can help to stimulate the lymphatic system, which can aid with the release of toxins.[4] Use long, gentle sweeping strokes aimed toward the heart.

  Tips
  • ·         Use a deep conditioning treatment on your hair and wrap it up under a cap or towel while you're in the bath. Two birds - one stone.
  • ·         Turn off the lights. Light candles. Clear your mind, meditate & relax.
  • ·         Sea salts can be added for several health and skin benefits.
  • ·         Play some soothing and interesting music to keep your mind in a relaxed state.
  • ·         Make sure you don't put water that's too hot, you can pass out.
  • ·         Dry brush your entire body before the bath as it gets rid of dead skin cells. It is also beneficial because it helps with circulation of blood and lymph. Lymph is basically your body's garbage system and if you get it circulating before the detox bath, it is very beneficial in helping get rid of additional toxins that may not be sweated out!
  • ·         It’s also a good idea to drink water before and during your bath, especially if you’re feeling overheated from the tub water.
  • ·         Eucalyptus essential oil in a warm bath helps open breathing passages.
  • ·         Don't let your hair in this water the salt will strip it making it feel like hay.
  • ·         If you're a diabetic, be careful with epsom salts. Packages are clear ly labeled not to use if diabetic. Can make you feel ill.

   Warnings
  • ·         Before adding herbs not on the list to your bath, please read what their effects are. Some herbs CAN be poisonous.
  • ·         As with any application of essential oils, be aware of the properties of the oils and any contra-indications (things that might bring about harm) for your particular conditions.
  • ·         Do not take a hot bath or a detox bath if you are pregnant, or have heart, kidney, or any other health issues.
  • ·         This article is for educational purposes only and is not meant to diagnose, treat, cure or otherwise take the place of the advice of your licensed healthcare practitioner. See your doctor for advice first.
  • ·         Avoid putting hydrogen peroxide in your bath. As an oxidizing agent, it can have corrosive effects on your skin.

Daily care for dry skin

Daily care:-

1. Avoid Bathing Everyday

Avoid bathing daily or at least on days when you don't work up a sweat. Soap and hot water strips your skin of it's natural protection, oil. This oil is essential to keeping your skin hydrated by helping it hold moisture. Excessive water loss will cause your skin to become rough and flaky.

If you really need to bathe every day, make sure that you only do it once. Also, you should see to it that you only use soaps with a gentle formula. Milk-based baby soaps are ideal because they are specially made for sensitive skin. Additionally, they have excellent moisturising effects. You may use stronger soaps where needed.

2. Don't Rub Your Skin

After your bath, get rid of excess water by gently patting yourself dry. A quick rub with your towel can cause additional irritation so patting dry is the recommended method. Also, it is important that not all of the water is removed because you need to leave some for your skin to absorb.

3. Moisturise Right Away

Right after patting off excess water, apply a few drops of olive oil, or your oil of choice, on your body. The purpose of this is to lock in the moisture your skin absorbed in the bath/shower. Gently massage the oil unto your skin until it is fully absorbed. You will notice that your skin will be softer and more smoother after a couple of days of regular use.

You may use other types of oils such as lavender, jasmine, rose or baby oil. If you feel a little greasy, you can remove excess oil with your towel. If you're massaging in the oil and giving your skin a few minutes to absorb it, you shouldn't have much excess oil.

4. Apply Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera is known for its natural ability to soothe inflamed and irritated skin. Additionally, it has bacteria fighting attributes that can help prevent skin infections from occurring.

If you have an aloe vera plant, you can make your own gel. All you need to do is to get the gel that can be found inside an aloe leaf and mix in some powdered Vitamin C and the contents of one gel capsule of Vitamin E. Use a blender to make sure that the ingredients are mixed thoroughly. You can keep this concoction in a clean jar and store it inside your fridge for up to a week. Apply the gel in areas that show the most signs of dryness and irritation.

5. Exfoliate Once a Week

Exfoliating your skin will allow you to get rid of dead skin cells. This will make it easier for your skin to absorb moisturisers. Also, it will decrease the amount of flaking, thus making your skin look healthier.

You can make your own scrub using items that can be found in your kitchen pantry. 1/4 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice is all you need. Mixed together, this amount will be enough to exfoliate your entire body.

6. Invest in a Humidifier

Dry indoor air is one of the main causes of dry skin. If you live in an area that experiences cold temperatures, invest in a humidifier. This will keep the air inside your home moist thus preventing your skin from drying out. Humidifiers can also be beneficial to your respiratory system, making breathing easier.

7. Drink Lots of Water

Keeping your body hydrated is key to keeping skin healthy! If your skin is already dry, increasing the amount of water you drink each day will help improve the look and feel of your skin. 8 glasses of water is the recommended serving for adults, though you can drink more if needed. Never allow yourself to become thirsty, as thirst is a sign of dehydration. Carrying a bottle of water with you wherever you go will ensure you'll always have water available to drink. Drinking a lot of water can do wonders for your skin, and it will also help your body get rid of toxins.

Dry skin can easily be remedied as long as you follow the right steps. If you have something to add, please let us know. We love hearing comments from our readers.

Pranayam = Health

Hey all,

let me take you through a form of pranayam which is called king of pranayam.

it is called so because the benefits out of it are soooooo many...and that is .....

Naadi Shudhhi pranayam, alternate nostril breathing,

Naadi mean Nervs
Shudhhi mean cleasning

This pranayam helps us to cleanse our nervous system, there are more than 72000 naadis in a human body, and because of many factors like stress anxiety obesity or any other factors these nervous system tend to shrink and becomes sick.

To rejuvenate the nervous system one can perform this pranayam.

How ever before going in detail to this lemme tll u the concept of it

Though we have 1 nose we have 2 nostrils in it. the right nostril is called surya(Sun) and left one is chandra(moon).

So for those whose body is cold they have to close the moon nostril (left one) and breathe in from right one for 27 counts, this will make the body warm this is called surya pranayama.

  • those who have High BP or chronical disorder should not perform this
  • good for patients who have low BP
  • this helps in reducing head ache caused by stress and anxiety
  • reduces sinusities

For those whose body is heat to cool it down they have to close right nostril and inhale and exhale through left nostril 27 counts, this is chandra pranayama.

  • low BP patients a must practice daily twice
  • good for migrane head aches
for those who are obesse try surya pranayam 4 times a day 27 counts each time before evry lunch and before going to bed. practice this for 2 to 3 months you can see a huge diffrence.

when we perform this pranayam the posture is right hand we make nasika mudra
Nasika mean nose

How to make nasika mudra?

We close our index finger and middle finger and keep the remaining open, when performing chandra pranayam we close right nostrill using thumb finger and perform inhale and exhale through left one.
and when breathing through right nostril we have to close the left one using the remaining 2 fingers.

Naadi shuddhi means performing pranayam with both the nostrils.
inhale from right nostril close right nostril open left nostril and exhale from itnow inhale from left nostril and close left nostril and exhale from right nostril this counts as 1 round. similarly daily 7 to 9 times rounds 2 times a day

when we are ready to take medicines daily from doctors, why cant we dare to make this as practice??

With out pain there is no gain and the gain you get without pain isnt worth..

Trust me and please make this your daily routine you can see lot of diffrence in your life style with this!!

gud luk!!:)
